Our material is designed for education and professional development. It supports, but never replaces, clinical judgment, local protocols, specialist consultation, or patient-specific care.
Editorial standards
We aim for accurate, clinically useful content grounded in contemporary guidelines, primary literature, and established emergency medicine practice. Articles are written or reviewed by clinicians with relevant experience.
Evidence and references
Key clinical claims should be supported by appropriate references. We prioritise authoritative guidelines, systematic reviews, and relevant primary studies. References are reviewed during editorial updates when important evidence or recommendations change.
Peer review and corrections
Selected articles undergo editorial or peer review appropriate to their topic and intended audience. We welcome constructive feedback. If an error, ambiguity, or outdated recommendation is identified, we will assess it promptly and correct or clarify the article when needed.
Authorship and conflicts of interest
Authors are responsible for disclosing relevant financial, professional, or personal interests that could influence content. Commercial relationships do not determine our educational conclusions.
Patient privacy and case material
Contributors must protect patient confidentiality. Case material must be appropriately de-identified, and consent should be obtained whenever identifiable information, images, recordings, or details could reasonably identify a patient.
